Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor/Assistant Professor of Respiratory Therapy
The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a 12-month Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor/Assistant Professor of Respiratory Therapy. Candidate must have an earned Master’s degree. RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care and a valid Indiana State Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure are required. A minimum of 5 years as a respiratory therapy practitioner in a clinical setting and/or critical care experience within a hospital and/or skilled nursing facility is preferred. Teaching experience in an academic or clinical setting is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience with in-person, online, hybrid and/or emerging media materials and teaching strategies.
Responsibilities include: curriculum/course education development, teaching courses in the BSRT program, working with our clinical setting partners, engaging in scholarship activities (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations) related to the discipline; engaging in service activities at the university, professional and community levels; participation at the national and state level in professional organizations and activities; contribution to community well-being through service related to professional and other expertise, and supporting the mission of the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
