Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Title V Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the Title V program by ensuring that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This position supports and supervises all of a Lone Star College campus’ Leadership program activity duties for the length of the program, including the professional development activities, special events, and related campaigns that increase community awareness of Title V. This is a temporary, grant-funded position. Continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is dependent upon continued grant funding.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Knowledge of budgeting-- including planning, effective allocation, management, and analysis.
- Knowledge of and ability to use PC and Microsoft Office software.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES :
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
- Some local travel within the LSC service area by personal car may be required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related work experience, with at least 3 years in a higher educational setting
- Experience working closely with students and retention/persistence strategies
- Demonstrated success at program management, working with populations of underprepared students who may be facing any number of barriers to co mpleting their education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
Salary
Hiring salary range is $52,430 to $60,294 annually.
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
