Position Summary

The Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo- SUNY seeks a full-time faculty member with expertise in Rehabilitation Counseling for a position as a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor beginning in Fall Semester 2021 semester. The position is a 10-month appointment with a recurring 3-year contract in the CACREP accredited masters degree program (on-campus and online) in Rehabilitation Counseling. Promotion to Associate and Full Clinical faculty status is available for this line.

The individual hired will be expected to teach four courses per semester in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program, both on-campus and online; participate in admissions; and advise students. Course releases available for those assuming program administration roles.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have:

(1) an earned doctorate in Counselor Education, Rehabilitation Counselor Education, or a closely related field and eligibility to serve as core faculty in a CACREP accredited program;

(2) hold or be eligible to hold the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (C.R.C.) credential; and

(3) have experience in the rehabilitation counseling field and a track record of university teaching and student supervision. A commitment to advancing diversity and social justice, the ability to work with individuals from many different backgrounds and contexts, and strong verbal and written communication skills are also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with interests and experience in program administration and those having an earned degree from a CACREP accredited program and experience conducting and publishing research.
