Bard College invites applications for a full-time, two-year position in computer science at the rank of visiting assistant professor to begin fall 2021. Applications are sought in all areas of computing, with special emphasis on expanding computing’s interdisciplinary footprint throughout the college’s four divisions: Arts, Language & Literature, Social Studies, and Science, Mathematics & Computing.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to quality, equitable, inclusive undergraduate teaching at a liberal arts college; maintaining an active research program or digital artistic practice; contributing to the general education curriculum; and engaging with the diverse college community. Candidates should have a terminal degree in their discipline (e.g, Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science or Social Science, Digital Humanities, or MFA) or be nearing its completion by September of 2021.
