Job Summary
This position performs essential duties within the Warehouse and Sustainability departments. Responsibilities include various warehouse, sustainability and logistical functions. Close coordination with both the warehouse and sustainability departments is maintained to sort, load and move materials; making deliveries and pick-ups on and off campus; managing surplus property storage and liquidation according to the college’s sustainability guidelines, delivering and performing other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
-High school graduate or equivalent
-Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to college insurance company
-Ability to work fluently within various types of software (Microsoft office suite including word processing; database; spreadsheet; custom applications)
-Strong organizational skills, ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously and flexibility
-Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
-Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse college community
-Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to diffuse conflict
-Ability to work under pressure
-Ability to lift 70 pounds routinely and operate material handling equipment (hand-trucks and powered heavy equipment)
-Ability to perform substantial amount of standing and/or walking
Preferred Qualifications
-Minimum of one year of related work experience
-Warehouse/delivery experience
