Teach the theory, face-to-face lab, and/or clinical components of the Nurse Assisting Program.
Work will be at Grayslake campus, Lakeshore campus, Southlake campus, and/or Clinical Sites
*Looking for faculty for the Spring Semester 2021
Required Qualification
Associate’s degree in Nursing or higher.
Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois.
Completion of an approved IDPH Train the Trainer Course (not required for a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher).
Current CPR certification.
Ability to lift, push or carry 50 pounds or over.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Instructors need to be approved by the IDPH prior to teaching.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
One (1) year experience teaching in an accredited nurse’s IDPH -approved Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program.
One (1) year nursing experience caring for the elderly.
Current AHA BLS Instructor certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively working with a diverse student body.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.
