Supervisory Financial Administrator GS-0501-15
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Coast Guard (CG) Academy, Business Operation Division, in New London, CT.
The official U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) title is Supervisory Financial Administrator, General Services (GS) series 0501. The organizational title is Chief, CG Academy Business Operations Division.
Functional responsibilities most closely resemble that of a Chief Financial Officer in the University/Higher Education industry sector. This is an upper-management, supervisory position. Travel is not required. Typical work assignments may include (but are not limited to):
- Serving as the division chief of the USCGA Business Operations
Division.
- Serving as the USCGA primary liaison for all sources of gift
funds and grants that support the Academy's education, training and
athletics programs, and facilities.
- Providing authoritative and comprehensive advice and assistance
to ensure budget formulation and execution align with unit and
organizational goals.
- Developing effective strategies to ensure successful short and
long-term budget requirements.
- Overseeing development and implementation of internal control
procedures for effective fiscal management across the
organization.
- Overseeing the development, execution and ongoing assessment of
strategic plans.

Pay scale & grade: GS 15.
Salary: $141,618 to $170,800 / per year.
Appointment type: Permanent - This is a permanent position.
Work schedule: Full Time, nominally Monday-Friday during normal business hours.
Location: New London, CT, USA.
Relocation expenses: Relocation expenses will be reimbursed for selected candidate, if qualified.
Telework: Eligible for telework as determined by agency policy (not required or guaranteed).
