Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Department of Psychology & Sociology at Angelo State University (ASU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology. We are primarily interested in candidates with a broad base of expertise across the social psychological domain. Expected employment date is August, 2021. Reviews of applications will occur as the applications are received and will continue until the position has been successfully filled. The position requires a PhD degree in Social Psychology or a closely-related field in psychology; ABD candidates are acceptable provided the PhD degree can be reasonably obtained within the first 12 months after hire date. Upon hire, the candidate will manage a 12-hour course load per semester (undergraduate and graduate coursework) and participate in student advising. Also, the candidate should be prepared to develop a student-centered research program over the first two years of the appointment. Candidates with online teaching experience are especially requested.

The Psychology and Sociology Department at ASU offers undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology as well as Master’s degrees in Applied, Counseling, Experimental, and Industrial-Organizational psychology.
