Philadelphia is a thirty minute drive, New York City and Washington, D.C. are less than three hours away, and Jersey beaches are only an hour drive. Description The Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering invites applications for multiple full-time, non-tenure track lecturer positions with primary responsibilities in teaching and mentoring. The positions provide an opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative projects and pedagogies in an environment where excellence in teaching is needed and valued. We seek candidates who are committed to building an inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds including women, students of color, LGBTQ students, first generation college students, students with disabilities, students with low socioeconomic status, and veterans.

The department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks energetic and innovative teacher-scholars, committed to excellence in engineering education to join our dedicated family of faculty members. Individuals are expected to teach core courses in structural engineering such as Statics, Solid Mechanics, Dynamics, Structural Analyses, Analyses of Steel Design, CEE Systems and Surveying. Lecturers are full time positions, and successful candidates will teach a total of 24 credits over two semesters with the possibility of teaching summer classes for additional compensation. Although the lecturer position is non-tenure track, the position offers the potential for employment security in two- to five-year reappointments.

  • Qualifications: The candidate should possess a Baccalaureate degree in civil and environmental engineering and a Master’s degree in engineering or related field – Ph.D. preferred. A PE is encouraged for this position. Candidates with extensive professional experience and a PE may be considered for the Senior or Master lecturer position. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to have excellent written and oral communication skills. A proven record of excellence in teaching is desired.
