Purpose of Position

As a member of the Enterprise Development Team, the developer will perform application development in support of NKU applications.

The Application Developer II position will work with others to design, develop, maintain, and support non- ERP software and/or web applications. The primarily focus will be as part of the overall move toward next generation systems, such as Web 2.0 and Mobile Platforms

Primary Responsibilities

- Design, Develop, Unit Test computer programs, “apps”, reports, and interfaces.
- Production Support and troubleshoot computer programs, “apps”, reports, and interfaces.
- Document assigned work that consists of computer programs, “apps”, reports, and interfaces.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of one years related experience required.
- A minimum of six (6) months of application development experience working with relational databases.
- General knowledge of SDLC (Software Development LifeCycle), and PMI based project management concepts.
-Must have a proven application development track record with broad range of technical skills and the ability complete deliverables on schedule.
-Demonstrated programming skills and proven ability to learn new technical skills quickly and apply them in the creation of application solutions.
-Understanding of web development technologies and web services.
-Verbal & written communication skills are critical as this position will work closely with end users, functional and technical team members, project managers, technical leads and consultants.
-Demonstrated skills in creative thinking, teamwork, problem solving, decision making and time management.
