The Information Technology Services department of Portland Community College is seeking an IT Manager to lead our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team, which manages and supports the Banner information system and its related systems. This individual will lead and work alongside a diverse and dedicated team of IT professionals to support and enable the College’s mission and goals by providing a secure, reliable, and powerful application environment on which all the College’s business can be conducted. This is an opportunity to apply your technical and managerial skills to help improve students’ lives.

While the College is in remote operations (currently projected through the Spring of 2021) the duties of this position will be performed remotely.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences - technical and nontechnical, throughout the organization and including external partners such as vendors - to gather information, keep stakeholders informed, and coordinate collaborative work.
  • Ability to analyze a situation and provide leadership an appropriate analysis to recommend a product/solution or assess a need.
  • Direct experience either as the person in charge of managing a major enterprise application or playing a key role on the team, and demonstrates familiarity with the technologies and practices necessary to keep a mission critical system available and secure.


Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science discipline. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Five years progressively responsible, professional information technology experience related to area of assignment, including two years of supervisory experience.


Position Grade L Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $77,875 to range midpoint of $86,636 Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $77875 to $112919 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily. Background Check Required Yes
