Position Summary:
As an integral member of the Professional Education Services office, the Admission and Clinicals Progress Tracking Specialist serves as an operational liaison between specific university divisions/departments and the Office. In the absence of the Director, the Admission and Clinicals Tracking Specialist will support the Student Teaching/Certification Coordinator in maintaining the business of the Admissions/Clinicals Office.
Specifically, the Admission and Clinicals Tracking Specialist will continuously design, implement, and maintain (1) a professional education admission system for tracking candidate admission and progress in a professional education program as required by regulation, (2) data entry, including data feeds to external agencies, (3) complete all clinical assignments (prior to student teaching) and issue supervisor contracts, (4) Monitor data entries in KFETS, Blackboard, and (5) assist the PES office with dissemination of critical information and collection of data including emails, seminars, orientations, and surveys. The Admission and Clinicals Tracking Specialist will also monitor and review the success of the data system, ensure its effective and efficient operation, and participate in annual reporting measures.


Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.


Minimum Experience:
Three years of related experience is required. Higher education experience is preferred.

•Extensive knowledge of teacher licensure and certification; Admission and application processes; The Kentucky Education Professional Standards Boards statutes and regulations; Internal/external coding priorities for admitting, tracking, and exiting candidates enrolled in graduate programs; and familiarity with monitoring data systems: Banner, Slate, Argos, Degree Works, EPSB Web Portal, KFETS. Taskstream, and Blackboard.
• Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs; Proficient written and oral communication skills; Proficient in human relations and interpersonal skills and must have a positive, outgoing, and highly motivated personality.
•Must be skilled in problem-solving and multi-tasking and able to negotiate difficult situations between all stakeholders.
•Must have a strong work ethic and able to work independently.
•Must be able to achieve admission and clinicals deliverables in a timely fashion.
