About the Opportunity:
The Mathematics Department, in the College of Science, at Northeastern University invites applications for our open Postdoctoral Research Position. Applicants for the position should be able to: perform basic mathematics research in collaboration with a supervisor, assist with the training of PhD students, assist in the development of research plans and strategies, as well as in the publication of research findings. They would meet regularly with PhD students to aid in their PhD work, and provide teaching support for the supervisor's graduate courses. The appointment generally does not extend beyond two years.

Assist in initiating, executing, and completing research. Prepare and write research papers, presentations, etc. Train graduate students, graduate teaching support.

Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent; be able to undertake substantially full-time research and PhD training responsibilities; work under the supervision of a senior scholar.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of research competence and experience in discrete, combinatorial, or convex geometry, or in combinatorics. Preference will be given to candidates whose research programs and interests are compatible with current faculty in these areas.
