Position Summary:  The Department of English at Gettysburg College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in post-1900 global Anglophone literature, with preferred specialization in the literature of Africa, South Asia, and/or the Caribbean, beginning August 2021. Candidates will be expected to teach six courses in the 2021-2022 year, which will include courses in their specialty and first-year writing.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in English or comparable field by time of appointment is preferred.  The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda, be committed to the teaching of undergraduates, and contribute to the diversity of our curriculum and/or community.
