A part-time instructor is needed to co-teach SPM 200 Race, Gender,
and Equity in Sport Organizations during the Spring 2021 semester.
Using an interdisciplinary approach grounded in the field of
organizational studies, the course examines issues of
race/ethnicity, gender, and equity in sport organizations and their
networks. Class dates: 1/25/21 – 5/9/21. Class meets: TTh 12:30 –
Masters degree or law degree with a focus on organizational
behavior, employment law, or negotiations. Bachelor’s degree in
sport management or a related field, with a minor or concentration
in African-American Studies. At least two years of sport industry

A record of demonstrated teaching competence and scholarly
accomplishment at the collegiate level is highly desirable, as is
the ability to teach disparate, complex content on race and

Preparation of lectures, projects or other student
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance
levels of the course.
Meeting all designated class periods.
Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades
according to University regulations.
Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.
Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student
Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
