Primary Purpose
The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching, advising, and service responsibilities associated with the higher education doctoral program in Educational Leadership. Candidates from any methodological tradition are encouraged to apply. Regardless of research specialty, candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to social justice and equity in higher education. 

Key Responsibilities:
The appointment involves teaching, research, and service to the university and profession. The successful candidate will also contribute to the needs of the Department, including but not limited to (a) teaching emphasis area courses in the Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration (Ed.D.) and Master's of Education in Education Leadership programs (50%); (b) recruitment and advising of graduate students for master's and doctoral programs (10%); (c) maintaining a record of scholarly productivity through peer-reviewed publications and presentations (30%); and (d) providing service to the profession, community, department, college, and university (10%).

The successful candidate will have evidence of potential for establishing a record of publication and scholarship; evidence of promoting and supporting diversity and social justice; a willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning; flexible teaching methods and applied learning approaches; evidence of communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds; and ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and university professionals. Minimum Qualifications  

  • Doctorate degree in Higher Education or related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and social justice in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience at the graduate level.
  • Experience directing doctoral dissertations.
  • Professional experience as a higher education administrator.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following broad areas: (1) critical race theory; (2) community colleges; (3) equity in STEM fields; (4) college student development and student affairs.

The position will remain open until filled. Salary has been approved from $52,000 to $56,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package. Offers of employment may be conditional pending successful completion of a background investigation.
