Lenoir-Rhyne University opened its Center for Graduate Studies of Asheville in August 2012. The Center is located in a state-of-the-art facility near the heart of one of the nation’s most beautiful and prosperous cities. It provides students from across the region affordable, quality graduate education emphasizing professional preparation through excellent teaching and mentoring.

The College of Education and Human Services seeks applications for a non-tenure track, continuing full-time appointment in the School of Education, at the Assistant Professor rank, to serve as a full-time faculty member and Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Leadership program, a fully-online graduate program designed to prepare candidates for leadership positions in a variety of organizations including higher education, non-profits, and businesses.

This appointment is based in Asheville and begins August of 2021. Responsibilities include teaching summer, fall and spring graduate courses and coordination/supervision of clinical internships. The position will also manage all recruiting, retention, and evaluation processes for the program. A terminal degree in a Leadership related discipline is required.  Preferred candidates will possess credentials and/or experience as a leader in an organization. Experience in developing and delivering high-quality courses utilizing online pedagogies is required. Evidence of exemplary college teaching experience is strongly preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to grow and sustain enrollments for this program and develop strong partnerships with the community.  Successful candidates will also display a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student mentorship, and scholarly and professional engagement.
