Job Specific Required Qualifications
-Knowledge of medical office protocols.
-Experience using Microsoft Office suite applications.
-Experience with Electronic Health Records software.
-Excellent customer service principles and practices.
-Experience using standard machines and office equipment.
-Excellent customer service and communication skills.
-Minimum Associate’s degree.

-Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA, Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
-Minimum one-year medical office front desk experience.
-Medical terminology knowledge.
-Medical assistant diploma.
Medical and Counseling Office:
-Address appointments and check-in/out with professional health care providers.
-Initiate medical patient assessment.
-Prepare disability accommodation correspondence in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state statutes.
-Maintain confidential files.
-Arrange student referrals, track students’ compliance with center and university regulations.
-Provide support to staff.
-Handle office correspondence.
-Maintain a departmental website.
-Compile statistics for reports.
-Update office materials and publications.
-Coordinate special health care events with professional staff.
-Order medical and office supplies.
Student health insurance:
-Facilitate student compliance in the mandatory student health insurance program.
-Prepare communications for students (emails, letters, websites, brochures).
-Manage relations with the third-party provider.
-Coordinate with other university offices and departments.
