Position Summary:

The Membership Services Manager is responsible for leading all Membership Services unit activities, while holding a passion for leadership, collaboration, process management, and data integrity at the heart of unit practices. This person maintains and fosters shared, high standards of customer service and stewardship with the goal of deepening donor relationships. They collaborate with development colleagues in proactively planning membership services workflows. They are a leader in data accuracy and security amidst changing workflows and a complex software universe. Reports to the Membership Director.

Unit Overview
The Membership Services team is responsible for donor customer service, donation management, and account maintenance for over 50,000 members. The department is a lynchpin of our financial sustainability, processing all donations, from various sources, in a secure and accurate manner. It also plays a vital, relationship-building role, advancing communication plans that ensure revenue retention and growth.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

No degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Five years cumulative experience in a leadership role in project management, finance/accounting, or customer service, leading initiatives independently and collaboratively.
- Three years cumulative experience in a supervisory/management role.
- Three years experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, complex database, or interconnected software system.
- Excellence in customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience managing the macro, "big picture" while maintaining critical attention to detail, including experience in creative research and problem solving as they relate to systems and processes within a complex environment.
- Ability to manage data and financial tracking and processes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- High degree of skill in technology, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and other software.

NOT REQUIRED BUT DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in or knowledge of public broadcasting.
- Experience in or knowledge of fundraising-related work.
- Experience navigating software transitions or new implementation.

Additional Information:

We expect to pay in the $60,000s.

This person is also required to occasionally work flexible and variable hours, including early morning, evening, and weekend hours during member drives (3-4 drives annually). Additionally, this position requires the ability to work at a computer and desk for long periods of time and in a temporary "work from home" environment.
