About the Opportunity:
The Center for Drug Discovery's Research Assistant Professors are responsible for establishing, conducting, and managing original research program(s).

Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant Professor shall perform this research and scholarship at a high-quality level commensurate with that which is expected of tenure-track or tenured faculty in the same discipline, at the same professorial rank. The Research Assistant Professor will supervise graduate and post-doctoral research, direct graduate student theses and/or act as a member of graduate committees. The Research Assistant Professor may be involved in teaching activities related to the CDD's mission. They must demonstrate the ability to secure external funding, as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator. The Research Assistant Professor must demonstrate autonomy and excellence in research, through a proven history of published scholarship and continuous external research funding.

Qualifications:
The candidate must possess a Doctorate or terminal degree in the field of chemistry, biology, biochemistry or biophysics, especially with an emphasis on medicinal chemistry or drug discovery, by the appointment start date. Must have advanced research experience; demonstrated outstanding attainment in a field of research as reflected in the number of important publications, inventions, or equivalent efforts, at least some of which have had recognition within the discipline; demonstrated project management experience, including supervisory, budgetary, and general administrative skills. Excellent proven (published) writing skills required.
