Under the direction of the University Registrar, the Associate Director (Associate Director III) manages the Scheduling Unit in the Office of the Registrar and oversees the coordination, production and publication of the schedule of classes; assists in the development and implementation of unit and office goals, policies and procedures which affect the operations of the academic and/or student records of the University; acts with the authority of the Director in their absence; and does related work as required.

 

The Associate Director is a key member of the enrollment services division who works in collaboration with other managers to provide essential registration, scheduling and support services to prospective and current Kean University students. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours and travel to Kean Ocean in Toms River, New Jersey, Kean Highlands in Jefferson Township, New Jersey and other locations. Occasional travel to Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China is also required on an as-needed basis.

 

This is not a remote position and requires physical presence on campus three days per week or as determined by the Supervisor. It requires working on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic and interacting directly with students following all procedures and protocols set forth in the University’s Restart Plan and any procedures/protocols created through additional correspondence. The employee must have the ability to wear a face covering for the duration of the work day during the COVID pandemic or as determined by university protocol.  

 

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree; two years of professional experience as an administrator in higher education; and a driver’s license valid in New Jersey is required. Master’s degree; professional experience in a college/university registrar’s office; knowledge of EMS software; and Ellucian and Colleague/Datatel software is preferred. Experience working with deans, chairpersons and faculty is also preferred.
