Adjunct for Sociology
Sociology within the Department of Behavioral Social Sciences is seeking Adjunct Professor to teach sociology courses to undergraduate students.. The Adjunct develops, prepares and teaches a variety of coursework which may consist of Introduction of Sociology, Social Problems, and Family Life. Adjunct Faculty are employed on a term-by-term basis. Course offerings within Sociology are taught currently in a hybrid or fully online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
Responsibilities and Duties
Experience teaching online sociology courses
Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and service.
Collaborate with the Coordinator of Sociology on revising, and developing curriculum to cultivate the mastery of course content.
Provide students with frequent, timely assessment of and clear feedback regarding academic performance.
- Appropriately document student progress and maintain records including attendance, grading and student learning outcomes.Qualifications:
- Required: A Master's degree in Sociology or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying field of Sociology is required.
