Georgia Baptist College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 12-month tenure track eligible faculty position. Teaching responsibilities will be nearly exclusive to the graduate degree programs, but may include a small percentage of didactic teaching in undergraduate programs. Additional responsibilities in research, scholarship, and service are required. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience.


The candidate must have expertise and prior employment experience as a fulltime academician at the university level.

Required qualifications:

  • PhD in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
  • Full-time academic appointment experience
  • Prior full-time employment as academician at the university level.

Preferred qualifications:

  • teaching at the graduate level
  • qualitative and/or quantitative research design
  • dissertation guidance
  • evidence of scholarly productivity in area of expertise
  • experience with CCNE accreditation standards
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • philosophy commensurate with Mercer University's mission and values

This is a tenure track eligible appointment. Faculty rank commensurate with experience.
