Manager - Gifts

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Advancement Services, performs complex gift and data processing that meets CASE and IRS rules and guidelines. Manages the gift processing team assuring timeliness and accuracy of donor and gift data input and gift receipting. Prepares monthly gift reports for the Vice President and leadership team of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations. Analyzes industry standards for gift processing, tracking and reporting to assure that compliance and standards are met. Works with Major Gift Officers to assist them with gift agreements, gift transmittal forms and donor proposals.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field and two years experience relating to major duties or Associate degree in related field and four years experience relating to major duties or six years experience relating to major duties.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of gift processing guidelines and rules

Knowledge and proficiency in databases and database concepts

Knowledge of database reporting and query tools

Knowledge of web based research, procedures, and techniques

Organization and supervisory skills

Proficiency in Access and Excel

Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills

Understanding of accounting/bookkeeping double entry process

Ability to provide technical instruction in area of specialty

Ability to communicate and understand technical concepts

Ability to critically think and analyze problems

Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Physical Requirements:
Consistent need to speak, hear, and see. Frequently standing, particularly for extending periods of time. Consistently sitting, particularly for extending periods of time.
