The Fine Arts Department, Theatre Program is looking for a Theatre Production Manager who will manage the day-to-day operations of the McManus and Black Box Theatres, and supervise/execute technical elements for 3 productions per year. The position begins December 7, 2020. Preferred application deadline is November 6, 2020. Finalists will be interviewed on November 16-20, 2020. The position is expected to be filled by November 23, 2020. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in theatre. A Masters in technical theater or a related discipline is preferred. The Theatre Production Manager is a ten-month, full time position with benefits. The Theatre Production Manager at Loyola University Maryland oversees the operations of the production program in two theatre spaces. Duties include: schedule and run weekly meetings with faculty and outside designers; ensure operations stay within provided budgetary limits; coordinate the scheduling of the McManus and Blackbox Theatres throughout the calendar year; collaborate closely with faculty and guest designers to implement all technical elements (scenic, lighting, costume, sound) for all faculty productions; mentor student designers and technicians on student productions; teach one course of Stagecraft per semester; and supervise and train theatre work study and stagecraft students in construction and other technical operations.
