Tenure-Line Position in Higher Education (Open Rank)

The Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania invites nominations and applications for a tenure line faculty position (open rank) in higher education. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate and an outstanding record of research productivity and teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas: national, state, or local policy (either domestic or international), higher education governance, organizations and leadership. Other areas of research will also be considered based on their unique theoretical and/or methodological contributions.  Of particular interest is a scholar whose research speaks to the public purposes of higher education and the role of colleges and universities in fostering a strong and diverse democracy. We expect the successful candidate to provide intellectual leadership, through teaching in our traditional and executive format programs, advising, and research, and contributing to division and cross-divisional programs.
