NYU Shanghai invites applications for a position at the rank of
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Literature to join our
Humanities faculty in Fall 2021. We seek candidates who have
completed a PhD in Literature, or a closely related
discipline.
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Anglophone
Literature or Comparative Literature with Anglophone expertise. We
especially welcome candidates with research and teaching experience
across a variety of temporal periods and geographic contexts, with
a particular emphasis on global and transnational
dynamics.
Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S.
institutions with respect to research start-up funds and
compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational
subsidies for children. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York
and other sites of the NYU Global Network, engaging in both
research and teaching.
