General Description of Position
The adjunct John Deere Ag Tech instructor is responsible for instructing students in various John Deere Ag Tech courses (as needed), developing and updating of the courses taught in a classroom/laboratory environment, and may also include coordination of the cooperative education. Teaching assignments for this position include, but are not limited to, theory, testing, diagnosing, and service procedures on current John Deere Ag and Turf equipment. This position is also responsible for maintenance of lab equipment, advising students, and working with program and college committees.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Associate Degree in John Deere Technology or Diesel Technology or related field from an accredited College or University.
2. Two (2) years of Ag Service Department experience related to the area of assigned instruction.
3. Must obtain John Deere Master Instructor certification within two (2) years of hire.
Desired Qualifications
1. Two (2) years post-secondary teaching experience.
2. Baccalaureate Degree in a mechanized Agricultural or related field from accredited college or university.
3. John Deere Master Tech or Master Instructor.
4. Recent John Deere work experience related to the area of assigned instruction.
