Working Title: Parking Enforcement Supervisor Official Title: Security Supervisor - Nonexempt - With Exempt Vacation Employment Class: University Staff FTE: 1.0 Compensation: $17.60 - $19.00 FLSA Status: Nonexempt Terms of Employment: Continuous Position Summary:

Supervises staff and directs security operations and process improvement activities, and collects and analyses data to provide security for institution properties, students, staff, and visitors. Serves as a liaison to law enforcement officials, vendors, institutional stakeholders, and the public.

This person will :

  • Oversee our enforcement needs including our new operations at the Fox Cities Campus.
  • Train new officers and Community Service Officers (CSOs) on parking rules and regulations including the use of License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology for enforcement.
  • Handle collections on pay stations/meters.
  • Plan and provide cones/barricades as needed.
  • Provide coverage for our shuttle driver when necessary.
Responsibilities

Assists in the development of policies and procedures, and communicates recommendations to leadership.

Schedules logistics and secures resources to complete the installation and monitoring of security equipment.

Collects data and prepares reports on unit activities according to established policies and procedures.

Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked.

Directs, coordinates, and monitors the logistical operations of a security unit and/or supervises the activities of unit staff.

Qualifications Required:

1. Must have, or have the ability to obtain, a valid WI driver’s license and be authorized to drive a University vehicle upon hire.
2. Have and maintain a safe driving record - position is required to drive on patrol and move between the Oshkosh campus and Fox Cities campus.
3. Strong customer service skills including experience working well under pressure. The position will require the de-escalation of people who are in a heightened emotional state.
4. Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.

Preferred: 1. High technological fluency and/or experience with enforcement technology, License Plate Recognition (LPR) hardware/software, and mobile parking solutions.
2. Experience and comfort driving vehicles of various sizes.
3. Demonstrated history of accurate log/record keeping and files.
4. Prior enforcement and/or related experience. To Apply:
