Postdoctoral Associates are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional.

Job Duties

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Hui Zheng in the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine. The successful applicant will join a highly dynamic research group with an excellent track-record and rich resources in Alzheimer's disease research. Examples of recent publications include Litvinchuk et al., Neuron 2018; Xu et al., Mol. Psych. 2020; Propson et al., J. Clin. Inv. 2020 and Ghosh et al., Sci. Transl. Med. 2020. Baylor College of Medicine is a leading biomedical research institute and an equal opportunity employer located in the heart of Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The individual will work on projects funded by multiple NIH grants, focusing on lysosome regulation and immune signaling in Alzheimer's disease, using novel mouse models and multidisciplinary approaches. Successful applicants should have expertise in molecular and cellular biology, neuroscience, and mouse modeling. Previous experience with bioinformatics, flow cytometry, or microscopy is a plus.
