Job Description Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Application Services, this position provides planning, analysis, implementation and resolution for Ellucian Colleague and associated third-party applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, two years experience working in an information technology environment.
  2. Two years of supervisory experience.
  3. Two years of ERP Related System Administration and third-party installation experience. Ellucian Colleague preferred.

  1. Maintains currency of new Ellucian Colleague and third-party application features and functionality and articulates this information to both technical staff and key end users.
  2. Tracks and documents all versions and releases of ERP products and third-party products.
  3. Creates and maintains design documentation (Systems, Integrations, etc.) via Visio or related product
  4. Coordinates the installation of Ellucian and associated third party software upgrades, fixes and patches.
  5. Supports Solutions Engineer with configuration changes.
  6. Installs new Ellucian and associated third party software when available.
  7. Analyzes and understands the needs of users and provides functional and technical support for Ellucian Colleague and third-party applications.
  8. Provides primary technical support related to Ellucian Colleague and third-party applications.
  9. Employs creative problem solving skills for the purpose of resolving complex problems.
  10. Certifies Ellucian Colleague and Third-Party applications are installed correctly.
  11. Assists the Director of Application Services with maintaining the currency of upcoming fixes, patches and upgrades to the ERP system, including third party products.
  12. Performs system testing related to support activities.
  13. Assists the Director of Application Services with coordinating technology resources related to the efficient operation of mission critical processes (e.g., Finance, HR and Student)
  14. Supports the Director of Application Services to align ERP service delivery with the College’s “Strategic Portfilio Projects”.
  15. Utilizes the ERP Project Management Methodology for assigned projects.
  16. Works with other Enterprise Technology staff to complete projects as needed.
  17. Participates as a team member in the implementation of the ERP system and associated systems, including all functional training sessions.
  18. Participates with the planning, coordination and engagement of Unit Retreats and Assessments.
  19. Responsible for complying with all required College mandated training within the prescribed timelines.
  20. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Application Services.


Job Requirements

  1. Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  3. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
  4. A background investigation will be conducted prior to the offer of employment.
