Job Summary

The Office of Information Technology is seeking applicants for an Endpoint Support Analyst in the Identity and Access Management ( IAM ) group. This position serves as the coordinator and project lead between OIT and various campus offices working together to identify and resolve users having multiple identities within the University’s Banner ERP system and all platforms receiving identity data from that system. This position will also provide Tier 2 support and request fulfillment of campus resources supported by the IAM group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as is an understanding of the business environment of a large university system, its policies, and operating procedures.

Essential Functions

1. Works with the OIT database admin group to identify and resolve users having multiple identities in AU’s Banner ERP system.
2. Serves as team lead to each Banner ERP data owner group to coordinate cleanup of these identities.
3. Works independently and with other IAM staff to merge multiple identities into a single identity in the platforms IAM supports (the central identity directory, Active Directory, Office 365 Mailboxes, AzureAD, Luminis, etc.) and helps coordinate merging of identities in those platforms IAM does not directly support with those platform admins.
4. Provides Tier 2 support to the IT Service Desk for account and access related issues.
5. Provides assistance directly to distributed IT staff to help resolve account and access related issues.
6. Fulfills various types of access requests submitted by campus users and IT staff.

May perform other duties to assist the IAM team as assigned by the IAM manager.

1. Experience providing Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 support with clientele of different backgrounds and technical abilities.
2. Experience with ERP systems. Higher Education ERP systems preferred and working knowledge of Ellucian Banner is strongly preferred.
3. Familiarity with ServiceNow Incident Management
4. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
5. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
7. Works well both in a team environment and independently.
8. Customer oriented and cool-tempered.
9. Eager and willing to learn new technical skills.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Specialist III requires a High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 or more years of relevant experience. Typical salaries for this level are between $42K and $52K.

Specialist IV requires a High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 or more years of experience. Typical salaries at this level are between $53K and $65K.

1. Experience working in Higher Education.
2. Experience in each of the Ellucian Banner ERP system modules (preferred Student and Human Resources).
3. Experience merging a single user’s multiple digital identities into a sole identity record in Ellucian Banner or similar Higher Ed. ERP system.
4. Experience with Azure Active Directory.
5. Experience with Office 365 (especially administering user identities and licenses).
6. Experience with Active Directory Users & Groups.
7. Experience with Powershell.
8. Knowledge of basic SQL commands.
9. Familiarity with Banner’s underlying database tables.
10. Familiarity with Banner’s Common Matching process.
11. Familiarity with Microfocus’ Identity Manager, Fischer Identity or other IAM solution.
