The Valenti School is seeking an established scholar to join our faculty for the spring of 2021 ONLY as a visiting scholar.
The candidate should have a PhD in communication, be at the rank of full professor, and have an established research agenda focused on communication as it relates to the continent of Africa. The candidate will teach a course on digital media in Africa during the spring semester. The candidate should have a defined research agenda that he or she can give a public talk about as well. Ideally, candidates will have expertise in the areas of journalism, global communication, with a focus on debates around mis and dis-information, and at least 5 years of experience in conducting fieldwork in Sub-Saharan Africa.
