The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2021. Particular emphasis is in the broad area of thermal sciences.

Successful candidates must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time their appointment begins. They are expected to establish a dynamic and internationally recognized research program, and to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Furthermore, they must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and show promise for excellent teaching, mentoring and entrepreneurship. Qualifications :

Applicants must have earned a PhD in a relevant area of engineering or physical sciences. Successful applicants must demonstrate a strong record of scholarship, and external funding, as well as a commitment to teaching.
