Instructor or Assistant Teaching Professor Electrical Engineering

Penn State Altoona invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term, non-tenure track position in Electrical Engineering with a Spring 2021 starting date. Candidates should be qualified to teach undergraduate courses in engineering and engineering technology.

Teaching areas may include several of the following:
  • Feedback control systems
  • Electric machines and drives
  • Digital and analog electronics
  • Microcontroller programming and interfacing
  • Programmable logic controllers (PLC) and automation.


A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with industrial and teaching experience. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to undergraduate education, curricular development, and assessment.
