Physical Therapy Clinic and Lab Coordinator
Carroll University


Classification: Administrative Staff- Full Time - 2080 Hours- 12 Months

Reports to:Director of PT and ICE Course Coordinator

Description: The Physical Therapy Clinic and Lab Coordinator will manage the day to day operations of Therapeutic Abilities Clinic, as well as other service-learning clinics within the Department of Physical Therapy. The Clinic and Lab Coordinator manages Physical Therapy department equipment and supplies among the three Program sites, assists in lab setup/takedown and coordination of lab instructors. Limited teaching and/or lab instruction is required.

Responsibilities:
Clinic Management
  • Supervise and schedule clients, adjuncts and students as it relates to clinical placements
  • Manage adjunct reimbursement procedure
  • Maintain cleaning procedure including equipment maintenance and equipment/laundry ordering
  • Oversight of Medical Records documentation
  • Oversee EMR/Medicat system including training faculty and students
  • Develop Policy and Procedures including HIPAA compliance, documentation compliance, safety, and weather issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Equipment Lab Coordination
  • Coordination and maintenance of teaching laboratories throughout the semester
  • Organization, storage, and scheduling of equipment at each laboratory classroom or simulation site
  • Ordering and maintaining PT lab supplies, equipment and simulation units

    Teaching Responsibilities (up to 8 credits per year)
    PTH 521, ICE I (2 sections)
    PTH 531, ICE II (4 sections)
    PTH 621 ICE III (4 sections)
    PTH 500 Physical Agents or other courses/labs as needed


    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Current physical therapy or eligibility for licensure in the state of Wisconsin
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience as a physical therapist
  • Prior experience in academic setting is preferred
  • Prior experience with electronic medical documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholder (faculty, staff, students, patients)

  • Ability to multi task and attend to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and innovate
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adaption to new software technology
