Salary Basis: 12 month

The Instructional and Access Services Librarian is a team member in both the Instructional Resources Center (IRC) and Circulation Department and assists 4.0 FTE staff in the supervision of student assistants.

The IRC houses a wide range of material including teacher resources, state adopted textbooks, juvenile literature, reference sources, and the library's A/V collection. Circulation provides material checkout, stacks maintenance, and inventory control.

Assists in the coordination of public services, develops outreach activities, staff development, and training. Participates in collection assessment, collection development, goal setting, planning, and policy development. Teaches LIB101 in rotation with other faculty members and other duties as assigned.

Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.

MLS from an ALA-accredited program; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong service orientation; knowledge and experience with electronic information technologies; demonstrated ability to provide creative and effective leadership in a collegial setting; flexibility to take on new responsibilities in a changing environment.

Highly Desired: Teaching experience with an aptitude for information literacy instruction; relevant experience in an academic library.
