REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Creative Services
PLACEMENT : Support, grade 7
MINIMUM PAY RATE : $20.41 per hour

Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists the Marketing and Creative Services department in creating marketing content for digital, web and traditional advertising initiatives, and works with internal departments to elevate the JJC brand and increase enrollment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create marketing content for digital, web and traditional mediums, including, but not limited to: web ads, web pages, blogs, TV commercials, newspaper ads, radio spots and direct mailers.
2. Develop copy for the College’s bi-annual magazine.
3. Work closely with the Marketing and design staff to support marketing initiatives.
4. Work with digital marketing specialist and the web design team to write and update web page content for JJC .edu and myjjc portal sites.
5. Copy edit materials and encourage the use of appropriate brand-specific language across marketing pieces, using AP style guidelines.
6. Work with various internal and external parties to create messages that align with the JJC brand and support the College’s vision, mission and strategic goals.
7. Research marketing and communications trends in higher education that will impact JJC’s brand position.
8. Serve on institutional committees.
9. Perform related duties as assigned.
