West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Radiology seek a fellowship trained musculoskeletal radiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to other areas in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and, as such, travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other worksites
The Radiology Department is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and PACS teleradiology system, including home reading stations. We promote, develop and integrate advances in imaging technology and imaging-based therapeutic procedures to complement the clinical, educational and research missions of WVU. We have a growing outreach imaging program covering several hospitals in the tri-state area. Medical licenses in West Virginia and Pennsylvania will be required. Facility and imaging equipment is of the highest quality with outstanding clinical infrastructure in place.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of musculoskeletal radiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain unrestricted West Virginia and Pennsylvania medical licenses. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in radiology. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
