Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Social Work
Additional Information
Applications are invited for a full-time, contract faculty appointment in the Department of Social Work available Spring Semester, 2021 to assist with our program expansion. Successful candidates will have the ability to teach across the undergraduate and graduate curriculum; demonstrate expertise in teaching social work practice, diversity, oppression, and privilege, practice and program evaluation, theory, and generalist field practicum.
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the NASW Code of Ethics and communicate specific ways they will teach these standards to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Candidates must have strong teaching and practice skills to develop instructional activities, facilitate class discussion, and provide clinical or macro practice supervision.
We seek candidates who have organizational leadership skills and experience building community partnerships.

Description
Teach across the undergraduate and graduate curriculum in social work practice, diversity, mental health and addictions, practice and program evaluation, theory, and advanced generalist field practicum.
Minimum Qualifications
A. Masters in Social Work from a CSWE -accredited program
B. Two (2) years post- MSW practice experience
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
A. Advanced license in social work and/or addictions ( LCAC )
B. Three (3) or more years of post- MSW practice experience
C. Three (3) or more years working in rural communities
D. Two (2) or more years of teaching experience at the graduate level
E. Expertise in substance use disorders, rural practice, health care, or gerontology
F. Excellent team facilitation skills and/or expertise in inter-professional education ( IPE )
G. History of professional service (eg., non-profit board, professional organization)
H. Experience with paneling is a plus (eg., Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance)
I. Current License: LSW, LCSW, also LCAC
