Assistant Professor (WOT) - Epilepsy Specialist

The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding clinical neurophysiologist/neurologist to work at the University of Washington Medical Center. This is a full-time (12-month service period) appointment at the Assistant Professor (without tenure) or Clinical Assistant Professor rank. This individual will be a member of a busy academic service performing a wide variety of clinical neurophysiology studies, including intraoperative monitoring, routine EEGs, ICU and epilepsy video EEG monitoring, and evoked potentials.  The successful candidate will also participate in outpatient and inpatient care of patients with epilepsy.  Development of a clinical research program in epilepsy would be encouraged.  The individual will also be affiliated with the UW Regional Epilepsy Center, the largest clinical epilepsy program in the Northwest. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2021.

Requires an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of a clinical neurophysiology training program is required. 

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Candidates must be either board eligible or board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
