The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics at
Chapman University invites applications for a tenure track
Assistant Professor in of Finance, beginning August 2021.

according to Bloomberg Businessweek. The School has nearly 1,700 +
undergraduates and 250 graduate students who attend classes in a
modern 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Chapman is
also home to the world-renowned Economic Science Institute, headed
by Nobel Laureate Vernon Smith. The finance faculty have published
ten articles in top-tier journals since 2018. Our new colleague
will complement a finance group that has roughly doubled in size
with five tenured/tenure-track faculty hired since 2017. Additional

Orange County south of Los Angeles County and north of San Diego

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Finance, teaching experience and an active research
agenda are required.
Seasoned applicants who currently hold a tenure-track academic
appointment are strongly encouraged to apply for the position.
Responsibilities
Duties include performing high quality research and demonstrating excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate students. Research support and teaching loads are competitive. Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.
