English Composition: Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning Fall 2021
Requirements: Ph.D. or MFA and three to five years of university teaching experience. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds is required.
English composition is the primary focus of this position with the ideal candidate being a writer [either Creative or Professional (Business or Technical) Writing] and able to teach African-American cultural studies and/or literature, with any specialization from colonial to twenty-first century.
Also invited to apply are candidates who consider themselves primarily specialists in African-American/Africology/African Studies, as long as they have a record as a creative writer or teacher of professional/technical writing or composition.
