Description: The History Department of Queens College, CUNY is conducting a search for an Assistant, Associate, or a Full Professor of African American history. Beginning in Fall 2021, the successful candidate will also serve as Director of the Africana Studies Program for a minimum of 6 years with the goal of strengthening and developing initiatives related to advancing the program, student engagement, alumni and community involvement, and fundraising. Regardless of research specialty, the candidate will be expected to teach both halves of the History Department’s African American History survey course, as well as other undergraduate and Master's level courses in their field of expertise.
