Job Summary:

Cleveland State University seeks to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. The School of Nursing offers four different options for students to attain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time faculty position to start January 2021. Faculty with expertise in using simulation as a teaching strategy are encouraged to apply. This position is a clinical non-tenured position, primarily teaching evening and weekends. Faculty teach up to 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate-level courses in the nursing resource laboratory (NRL) and participate in community and university service.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing;
  • At least two years of clinical nursing experience with skills and knowledge to teach in the NRL and high-fidelity simulations;
  • Eligibility for Ohio Nursing License as a registered nurse; and
  • Demonstrated experience with teaching nursing in the clinical, NRL and/or classroom setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Record of clinical practice excellence, national nursing certification in a relevant area;
  • Demonstrated commitment to nursing as a profession;
  • Prior teaching experience;
  • Evidence of participation in nursing organizations.

Hire is contingent upon the maintenance of existing levels of funding from the State of Ohio.
