Position Summary:

The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is seeking an experienced leader to be a member of the Department's Leadership Team. The person in this position will collaborate with and may oversee a team responsible for instruction and programming across the education, clinical and research missions of the Department (high school, undergraduate, medical student, graduate medical education, clinical programming, CME, global health, simulation, ultrasound, education research, and faculty development).

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MS, and/or MA) preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Three or more years of progressively responsible professional experience with a record of significant accomplishments managing programs, preferably across the continuum of student, physician and advanced practice provider learning is required.
Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating physician programs, including advising, program management, and providing perspective to stakeholders is strongly preferred.

Ideal candidates will have the following:
1. Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent command of spoken and written English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; ability to provide information in a clear, concise and professional manner is required.
2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, residents, advanced practice providers, and staff in all aspects.
3. Effective problem solving skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage diverse assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, challenging, and stimulating environment. Ability to independently prioritize work; follow through and complete tasks in a timely manner.
5. Ability to adapt to new and challenging situations.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology.
