The Matching Gifts Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of all matching gift programs and related correspondence.

He/She oversees all communication with donors and companies for securing, recording, and receipting matching gifts for Syracuse University.

This position directs all reconciliation and follow-up with external companies and creates/audits monthly reports for the General Accounting office.

The coordinator will create monthly matching gift reports for management to track/reconcile matching gift claims and payments.

This role includes maintaining and updating appropriate information on the University website, data analysis, CITRUS data, and all downloaded reports from/imports into external vendor software platform (Match 360).

This position provides support to the department’s Data Analyst positions and gift processing as needed.

Qualifications

Requires 4-year degree or significant relevant experience
Requires 3+ years’ solid database applications.
Demonstrated experience managing matching gifts and/or a matching gift program
Experience in gift /pledge information management.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the philanthropic matching gift systems and process for Syracuse University, including:

Verify daily all individual matching gift donations against the employer of the donor to confirm if they are eligible for a corporate match. Maintain and update necessary corporate matching gift information in CITRUS . Monitor and manage external matching gift inquiry and status systems including Match 360.

Utilizing CITRUS queries, Tableau, and Match 360, develop, create, and implement reports for matching gift claims and payments for Advancement Services and senior administration. Oversee and train data analyst on record search, document entry, processes, and procedures within the Match 360 database. Update all training and procedure materials as needed.

Monitor all matching gift portals for any claims/payments available for download and import into Citrus. Serve the primary point of contact for donations made via multiple on-line giving portals, such as Network for Good, Benevity, and YourCause. Oversee the matching gift email inbox and respond to inquiries/requests as they come in.

Serve as point of contact for internal and external questions and concerns related to matching gifts.

Provide direct support for gift and pledge processing, receipting, and tributes.

Export and customize Archtix reports for import and processing Athletic gifts into Citrus

Update/ maintain constituent records, including (but not limited to): creating new records; updating and maintaining biographical, demographic, and contact information; updating and maintaining employment and employment-related information (e.g. business addresses, positions, and titles), and updating and maintaining personal relationship information (e.g. marital status and parent-child relationships).

Scan prior day processed checks to HSBC bank using PCI compliant devices.

Prepare First Data reports and send to cash operations as needed.
Provide tracking team metrics for gifts and BIO updates, and other data integrity needs.

Manage, organize, and follow through on designated projects and reporting under the direction of the Associate Director. Participate on divisional committees.
