Job Summary

The Enterprise Project Manager-IT (EPM–IT) is responsible for the management of key IT projects life cycles by following the Enterprise Project Management Framework. This position manages and directs multiple moderate to high impact IT projects and will be responsible for managing multiple IT efforts simultaneously. The EPM–IT will be the primary interface between the IT department and the entities with which IT is supporting via the various IT-centric projects being executed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments including full implementation from initiation to deployment
• Manages and monitors time, scope, cost, scheduling, budgets, and project set-up with customers, sub-consultants, vendors and contractors
• Participates and/or drives feasibility studies, customer requirements, user acceptance testing, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
• Discovers, validates, documents and communicates business processes and requirements to internal and external stakeholders
• Understands and represents the customers’ requirements throughout the full project lifecycle
• Understands and represents IT’s resources and capabilities with an understanding that external resources may be needed to deliver desired end results
• Prepares and issues project documents (e.g., milestones, deliverables, risk and issues, status reports, detailed project schedule updates, and financial/budget updates)
• Identifies and promotes solutions to any problem, which might impede progress of the project or adversely affect customer relations. This includes soliciting the help and personal involvement of management as appropriate in the solution of unusual technical problems encountered in the progress of work
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in math/statistics, computer science, social/behavioral sciences, higher education administration, or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience required with a history of leading and organizing team efforts on IT-centric projects

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Project Manager Institute ( PMI ) certification as an Agile Certified Practitioner ( PMI -ACP®) or Project Manager Professional (PMP®)
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) Systems
• Familiarity with project management in higher education and/or public sector environment

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Proficiency with project management software*
• Have a systematic and logic-based approach to problem solving utilizing innovative/complex techniques
• Proven record of being detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful with the ability to complete projects with rapidly changing priorities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
• Proven record of excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience with process improvement methodologies

*TCC primarily uses Colleague enterprise as a system, MS Project, and Smartsheet
