Summary:
The AACSB-accredited Woodbury School of Business (WSB) at Utah Valley University invites applicants for a teaching/research position in organizational behavior for the Fall of 2021.
The WSB, averaging over 5,500 students per semester, is Utah's largest school of business and Utah Valley University is the largest university with over 40,000 students enrolled. The WSB has a very strong emphasis in engaged learning.
Teaches undergraduate courses in organizational behavior and possibly other courses in the department (e.g., individual action and corporate social responsibility, introduction to business, leadership, human resource management) in a variety of delivery modalities (e.g., face-to-face, online, hybrid). Prepares instructional materials (e.g., syllabi, teaching materials, exams). Maintains student-centered approach to learning. Provides service, including community outreach to facilitate student learning and community engagement, as well as committee work at all levels (department, college, and university). Excellence in teaching, research, and academic and professional service are expected.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a terminal earned degree appropriate to discipline. ABD accepted. Knowledge and skill in disciplinary theories and content and instructional strategies and techniques. Evidence of potential for scholarly/creative work consistent with a teaching university.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and demonstrated competence in organizational behavior theories and their application. An established publication record in organizational behavior or related areas or the ability to establish a research agenda in organizational behavior and related disciplines.
Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and coordinating undergraduate student programs and activities. Skilled or willingness to develop skill in providing high-quality engaged learning in courses. Evidence of well-developed, collegial, and collaborative communication skills.
Ability and willingness to provide expert classroom instruction, curriculum development, and program assessment. Demonstrated ability to teach across a spectrum of organizational behavior and business management courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Evidence of well-developed, collegial, and collaborative communication skills and commitment to service and the pursuit of a research agenda are required.
• Successful candidates should have teaching experience in organizational behavior, and related content areas.
• Preference will be given to applicants with a well-developed background (or strong aspirations to develop a teaching record) in engaged learning. Experience in online/hybrid teaching is also beneficial.
• Pragmatic teaching applications and approaches ideally informed and enhanced by industry experience.
• An interest in and commitment to interacting effectively with local business, government, and higher education communities in the region and state.
• Strong evidence of high quality research capabilities in organizational behavior, particularly research with industry, community, and student success impacts.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experience.
