Postdoctoral Associates are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional.

Job Duties

One Postdoctoral position in biochemistry and Molecular Biology is available at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. The successful candidate is expected to have good research experience in the field and have a strong track record of publications that demonstrate his/her abilities in essential biochemistry and molecular biology techniques such as cloning/plasmid construction, recombinant protein expression/purification, western blot, PCR and cell culture. It is of importance for the successful candidate to be able to work independently. The research project involving using novel chemical probes to investigate cancer biology will be part of ongoing drug discovery programs in the PI's lab.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: MD or Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Required: None Required.
